Job Details

* Job Title: Humanities Teacher
* Location: Crookhey Hall, Cockerham, LA2 0HA
* Salary: £31,650 per annum (not pro rata)
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm
* Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship. We are seeking an experienced Humanities Teacher to join our team at Crookhey Hall, Cockerham.


About The Role

As a Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum to maximise pupil achievement and development. This role offers the opportunity to focus more on developing creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs, in a school with a strong safeguarding culture.

Under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, carry out professional duties as set out in school policies, uphold the GTC code, and teach in accordance with the school's ethos and policies.


Essential Requirements

* QTS
* A conviction that every pupil can achieve their potential
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
* Commitment to safeguarding and welfare
* Excellent classroom practitioner and team player
* Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH/ASD


Desirable Skills

* Experience with challenging backgrounds
* Proven record of improving pupil outcomes
* Driving Licence
