Position
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support your store team with driving sales performance and the day‑to‑day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine our customers are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every one of our customers.
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team in meeting and exceeding targets through focused KPI delivery.
* Deliver exceptional market-leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Provide a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
* Sell the story, not the discount, sharing your passion for product with customers through in‑depth knowledge of our range.
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, constantly learning about our products to support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
* Ensure the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, both internally and externally.
* Perform all operational tasks required for day‑to‑day running of a Majestic Wine store – from delivering wine to customers, merchandising stock, and making calls to drive sales opportunities.
* Continuously identify improvement opportunities to optimise store operations, feeding ideas back to the wider team for implementation.
* Remain fully compliant, safe and legal by following internal policies, processes and completing mandatory training.
* Serve as a role model of Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, reporting appropriately to the Store Manager.
* As a key holder, understand opening and closing compliance and operate the store independently of the management team.

* Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
* Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
* Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

* Contract: Permanent.
* Hours: 18 hours per week.
* Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
