Automotivate Group, incorporating Automotivate Fleet Solutions, is a leading specialist in UK vehicle sales, leasing, fleet management and mobility solutions provider, and was acquired in January by Trek-Group, a group of companies all linked to the automotive and transport industries. Some of their notable businesses include Equi-Trek Ltd, Cartwright Conversions Ltd, Hire-Trek Ltd and Safeguard SVP.
The acquisition of Automotivate Group strengthens Trek Group’s presence in the UK and supports its long-term strategy to expand into commercial vehicle sales, leasing and a full mobility offering.
Trek Group headquarters are at Stocksbridge, Sheffield, on a 75-acre site that is now home to a trailer servicing and vehicle sales and hire company (Trek-Trailers Sheffield), a state-of-the-art paint and bodyshop (Auto-Trek) and the Equi-Trek and Moto-Trek manufacturing. Trek-Group diversified to the blue light vehicle conversion market with the acquisition of Cartwright Vehicle Conversions, based near Doncaster, in 2020 and SVP in 2023, situated near Colchester. Their Chesterfield site is home to Mould Ability, a professional mould, pattern-making and fibreglass manufacturer.
The role
Focused on locating new business opportunities predominantly for commercial vehicle fleets, though with the option to fund all asset types and alternative finance solutions. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, good at problem-solving and solution-based sales, and have finance knowledge, including products such as Hire Purchase and Finance Lease. They will need to be willing to cold call and self-generate leads and have the ability to develop relationships with dealers for referrals, along with end-user clients. They will be very compliant and able to clearly explain products whilst building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities.
Identify and actively engage with new prospective customers for the business.
Qualify new prospect customers to understand their requirements and guide them in their purchasing needs.
Consult with and support customers with their finance needs, ensuring suitable finance solutions are presented to them.
Secure credit facilities and credit lines for customers to draw down on.
Achieve set sales targets for profitability.
Provide ongoing Key Account Management to allocated customers to build relationships and promote the company to increase customer business and enhance Automotivate’s reputation.
About you
You will have previous B2B experience for this role, ideally within the light commercial vehicle or leasing and rental environment. You will have a passion for the automotive industry, be able to develop relationships effortlessly and love a challenge. You will have previous experience working in a field-based role and be self-motivated and hands-on.
On offer
Basic Salary circa £35k - £45k – OTE £80k
A company vehicle, equivalent to a Jaecoo 7
