Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Young Adults Service to work full-time based in Haringey. The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £47,857 per annum.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Undertaking assessments within the required timescales in accordance with the Framework.
* Assessing and identifying levels of risk and need and delivering protective or supportive services for children with a child protection plan.
* Implementing care plans by working in partnership with parents and colleagues from other agencies to effect better outcomes for children with Child Protection Plans.
* Accommodating children and young people and initiating care proceedings when appropriate.
* Formulating care plans in partnerships with children and young people, their families, and other providers of care and assistance based on these assessments.
* Producing court statements and, when required, giving evidence in court on behalf of the Local Authority.
* Providing verbal and written reports to child protection conferences, strategy meetings, planning meetings, and reviews.
* Maintaining and developing up-to-date relevant skills and knowledge of current legislation, policy, and social work practice.
* Taking responsibility for managing an individual caseload, having regard to the relative needs of all service users and ensuring an effective use of time and resources.
* Attending and actively making use of Supervision and performance appraisal.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic case records in line with policies and procedures.
* Ensuring that all expenditure on cases is properly authorized and recorded, and that cases with financial packages are regularly monitored and reviewed.
* Ensuring that all legislation and local council policies regarding Health and Safety are adhered to.
Requirements of this role:
* A social work qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Registered or eligible for registration.
* This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
