Purpose Statement
The role of the Account Manager (AM) is to manage the end-to-end sales process for specific customer segments by identifying commercial opportunities in the region, managing account planning across the customer base, and driving the execution of regional and local sales strategies. The purpose of the AM position is to drive business growth, broaden BSC’s market share, secure product positioning, and ensure market penetration, focusing on both clinical and economic stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development of the annual strategic plan by providing business intelligence for accounts in scope, including market size, potential, trends, opportunities, competitive landscape, and stakeholder information.
* Understand account needs and expectations, develop detailed account plans, support RSM in Top Tier 1 accounts, and autonomously perform activities in other accounts. Design and execute sales strategies accordingly.
* Develop stakeholder maps, define touchpoints and action plans, and ensure account information is updated in systems.
* Build and maintain relationships with economic stakeholders and clinical KOLs, promoting health economics and engaging decision-makers for commercial programs.
* Support clinical colleagues in identifying and managing sales opportunities from clinical support, performing clinical selling as guided by RSM.
* Gather information on tenders and negotiation opportunities, plan and prepare proposals, participate in negotiations, and collaborate with Tender Office for administrative documents.
* Develop deal models, support RSMs in Top Tier 1 accounts, and create IPAT.
* Reach out to customers regarding new agreements, perform sales visits, and identify new sales opportunities.
* Update sales activities and monitor reporting content during periodic reviews with RSMs.
* Record customer information and activities in the CRM system for alignment with other roles.
