About the Role – Graduate Site Engineer
As a Graduate Site Engineer, you will :
* Assist with the technical management and delivery of construction works
* Manage dimensional control, setting out, surveying, and quality checks
* Supervise technicians or student engineers where required
* Use digital engineering models, CAD data, and electronic management systems
* Support temporary works processes, safety procedures, and compliance activities
* Contribute to planning, reporting, logistics, and environmental management
* Work within an engineering function focused on digital innovation, DFMA, and early engagement
You’ll gain structured training — both on site and through formal sessions — to help you progress toward ICE accreditation and become a well‑rounded engineer.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Carry out setting out and dimensional control using CAD and digital models
* Verify as‑built surveys, produce reports, and check compliance with project requirements
* Understand materials, construction methods, tolerances, and safe systems of work
* Support temporary works activities and follow the correct procedures
* Maintain accurate engineering records, drawings, and technical documentation
* Use electronic data management tools to access, update, and control project information
* Raise technical queries and work with design teams to resolve issues
* Support site logistics, environmental management, inspections, and quality processes
* Prepare method statements, task sheets, and activity briefings
* Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and engineering excellence

Key Criteria – Graduate Civil Engineer / Site Engineer
Essential
* Civil Engineering or construction‑related degree (2 : 2 or above)
* Strong numeracy, analytical ability, and problem‑solving skills
* Confident communicator able to work well in site‑based teams
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
* Flexibility to work away from home on project sites
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and data (or willingness to learn quickly)
* Strong IT skills and interest in digital engineering tools
* High attention to detail, accuracy, and safety awareness
* A proactive, motivated, can‑do attitude with willingness to learn
Desirable
* Experience with surveying, CAD, or digital engineering systems
* Previous construction or site‑based placement experience
* Understanding of temporary works, construction methods, or quality management
* Commitment to achieving ICE professional accreditation
* Awareness of industry safety standards and environmental compliance
