As our Commission Payments Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in making that happen. You’ll lead a small, specialist team within our Finance Operations function, ensuring that complex payments and commission processes run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. Your work will help us maintain strong relationships with our partners and ensure our financial operations support the wider business and our customers.

How you’ll help us make health happen
In this role, you’ll:
1. Lead and support a team of two Commissions Analysts, overseeing day-to-day operations
2. Act as the go-to expert for commissions and complex payments within Finance Operations
3. Perform complex reconciliations for commissions, premiums, and claims
4. Build strong working relationships across teams to improve processes and outcomes
5. Complete monthly control checks and submit KPI reports, analysing variances and identifying root causes
6. Support improvements in risk management and internal controls
7. Help develop better data and management information (MI) across the function
8. Foster a positive, collaborative team environment
9. Work closely with the Head of Finance Operations and other senior stakeholders
Key Skills and Qualifications needed for this role
We’re looking for someone who’s confident with numbers, comfortable with complexity, and passionate about leading people.
You’ll need:
10. Experience with commissions is a bonus, but not essential
11. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is required
12. The ability to interpret financial data and explain its impact clearly
13. Experience of operating within or awareness of a good financial control environment would be ideal
14. Excellent communication and influencing skills
15. Confidence managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively
16. A collaborative, team-focused approach
17. Experience leading or mentoring others
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
19. A proactive mindset and a drive to improve processes
20. The ability to build strong relationships across teams and levels
