GMH Accounting Limited is a firm of Chartered Accountants based in the outskirts of Paisley with opportunities to work within a small team providing accounting, taxation, business support and advisory services to a mixed client base. \n\nThe opportunity is delivered in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University and successful candidates will undertake a five-year Graduate Apprenticeship in MAcc Master of Accountancy, course commencing September 2026. \n\nOn completion candidates will achieve both an MAcc in Accountancy and Chartered Accountant status with ACCA. Working within our team you will benefit from learning accounting and financial skills from day one in a practical hands on way whilst also learning the theory needed for success, skills learned will be of a diverse range and not limited to but will include, preparation of statutory annual accounts, company and personal tax work, participation in payroll and bookkeeping tasks and other varied ad hoc duties. \n\nComputer skills will be developed given the level of software driven tasks and use of Microsoft office in particular excel. The skills learned will be offered in a supported work environment alongside our experienced team and our current team members also on their graduate apprenticeship career learning path. Working towards or have achieved a minimum of 5 Scottish Higher Grades at BBBBB, including mathematics and English. It would be desirable for applicants who may also have Higher Accountancy and or Higher Application of Maths.\n\nGraduate apprenticeships are for those based in Scotland and currently in their 5th or 6th year of High School. Note the opportunities are funded by SAAS and eligibility can be reviewed directly with SAAS.\n\nThe role is demanding given the mix of both workplace responsibilities, work based and course learning coupled with course assessment, a mix of exam and coursework so excellent time management skills would be desirable.
