Overview
Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health — Full-time role at Beckett Springs, a behavioral health hospital in West Chester, OH. We provide inpatient and outpatient programming for mental health and addiction challenges, with programs for children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and specialized programming for active duty military, veterans, first responders, and other frontline professionals.
What You Will Do In This Role
Administer nursing care to ill or injured persons by providing direct care. Coordinate and deliver quality general and psychiatric nursing care for patients treated for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric or emotional disorders. Assume responsibility for observation, delegation, and leadership of the unit staff and patients. Act as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting the organization, program, and unit philosophy of care. Ensure patient safety and well-being. Ensure all medical orders are followed, initiate and follow treatment planning, and advocate for patients at all times.
Qualifications
* Assess the patient and plan care within set time-frames and document findings according to policies.
* Oversee and supervise the shift. Demonstrate leadership through duties such as delegating tasks, close observation, meal supervision, etc. Ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is delivered by self and team.
* Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond accordingly, up to notifying the physician.
* Follow hospital policy for medication administration.
* Use empathy, dignity, and respect in interactions with patients.
* Deliver quality nursing care to ensure goals of the treatment plan are executed following hospital policies and nursing competencies.
* Assist or perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients.
