An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Hull. This role is being recruited for by Crowe Watson Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency specialising in the accountancy sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing exceptional financial advice and support. As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing strategic guidance and managing a team to deliver high-quality accounting services. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their financial needs, developing tailored solutions, and maintaining strong relationships. You will also play a key part in the mentoring and development of junior staff, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency within your team.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and develop client relationships, providing expert advice and support on a range of accounting issues.
2. Lead and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring deadlines are met and standards are maintained.
3. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory documents.
4. Conduct regular reviews of internal processes and implement improvements where necessary.
5. Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment.
Requirements:
6. ACA qualified or equivalent.
7. Proven experience in an accountancy practice, with a strong understanding of UK GAAP and tax regulations.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
9. Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and developing staff.
10. Detail-oriented, with a commitment to high standards of work and professional ethics.
