We’re looking for an experienced creative with both technical and artistic skills to produce in-engine and in-game footage, and to edit it into engaging content for trailers, social media, and more. You’ll combine cinematic capture skills with sharp editing to create polished, compelling content that resonates with the gaming community.

We’re a creative agency focused on gaming and entertainment. We produce videos, websites, marketing assets, and other creative content for some of the world’s biggest gaming brands. Our name is Other Things.
WHAT’S THE JOB?
You’ll be a part cinematographer, part editor, transforming raw gameplay, captures, and assets into eye-catching content. Your tasks may include flying virtual cameras in Unreal Engine, framing action shots, editing trailers, hype reels, and more—sometimes under tight deadlines, always polished.
Understanding how video works in gaming—pace, rhythm, timing—is essential. You’ll bring energy and creativity, blending storytelling with clean production and attention to detail.
You’ll collaborate with writers, designers, producers, and clients to shape content viewed by millions. Staying current with social trends and fan interests is also important.
You should be skilled in taking gameplay captures from Unreal Engine and Unity and editing them into impactful online content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Capture gameplay footage—experience with in-game cinematography and framing shots is vital. Use Unreal Engine or Unity for cinematic captures when needed.
* Edit various content types: trailers, social edits, sizzles, explainers, hype videos, etc.
* Cut footage from gameplay, interviews, live-action shoots, or archives to create engaging videos.
* Solve technical and creative capture challenges.
* Customize edits for different platforms, focusing on hooks and social engagement.
* Bring innovative ideas from concept to delivery.
* Work closely with creative leads, producers, and designers to ensure content is on-brand.
* Stay updated on trends in gaming, football, and pop culture video content.
* Ensure final exports are technically sound and presentation-ready.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
* A strong showreel or portfolio demonstrating range, creativity, and polish.
* Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
* Experience with cinematic camera techniques in games.
* Proficiency with Unreal Engine and Unity for in-engine capture.
* Comfortable with both editing and capturing gameplay in-engine.
* Understanding of social video editing: hooks, vertical formats, fast pacing.
* Good sense of sound design, music syncing, and pacing.
* Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure without sacrificing quality.
* Passion for video games.
* Attention to detail and storytelling skills, even in short formats.
* A collaborative team player mindset.
NICE-TO-HAVES
* Experience working with gaming brands.
* Motion graphics skills.
* Knowledge of templates, motion libraries, or plug-ins to streamline workflows.
* Familiarity with tools like Frame.io, Trello, Slack, Google Suite.
* Basic color grading or sound mixing skills.
* Experience with 3D or animation.
* Bonus if you enjoy football games.

Location: Fully remote, hybrid, or on-site at our Leeds city centre office.
Hours: 40 hours/week.
Job Type: Permanent, full-time.
