Salary: £31,650 - £45,350 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Hours: Monday-Friday, Full Time

A thriving three-form entry primary school in Failsworth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a long-term position until at least the summer term, offering the chance to work within a collaborative and forward-thinking school community.

Role Overview:
As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning and ensure pupils make excellent progress across the curriculum. You will work closely with parallel class teachers to share ideas, resources, and best practice, with strong support from senior leadership and teaching assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum
Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress effectively
Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners
Work collaboratively within the Year 2 and wider Key Stage 1 team
Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, events, and enrichment activities
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable)
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
A proactive, creative, and reflective approach to teaching
A passion for helping every child reach their potential
