Senior Technician - Process and Water Treatment

Duration: Temp to perm (initial 14-week temporary contract)
About the Role:
We're seeking a skilled Senior Technician to join CCEP Edmonton. The role involves maintaining and improving process and water treatment areas and machinery, ensuring production targets are met across performance, quality, yield, and environmental standards.
This is a Temp to Perm position with an initial 14-week contract. The work pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off for day shifts, with initial training Monday to Friday.
* Qualified or experienced apprentice-served Engineer.
* HNC in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
* At least 3 years of hands-on technical experience in a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support new initiatives and programmes as required.
* Provide technical support for maintenance and critical cleaning tasks.
* Ensure completion of all asset care tasks per the Maintenance Execution Plan.
* Supervise and support Operators and Operator Technicians in executing the Maintenance Plan.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis when necessary.
* Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance to meet efficiency, availability, yield, and quality targets.
* Complete complex asset care and breakdown maintenance as per the asset care plan.
* Utilize the site Maintenance Management System (SAPPM) effectively.
* Carry out Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety Checks, escalating non-conformances immediately.
* Follow Stock Checks/Held Stock procedures.
* Participate in Environmental and Health & Safety risk assessments when needed.
* Segregate recyclable waste within the work area.
* Follow site safety practices to ensure a zero-accident environment.
* Maintain personal hygiene standards suitable for the food industry.
* Perform pre-use inspections on machinery for safety.
* Share best practices with team members to improve yield, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
* Use line monitoring systems and trending to drive performance and escalate issues.
* Operate all machines in the work area, including start-ups, change-overs, and shutdowns.
* Support utilities and facilities as needed.
* Perform departmental tasks to ensure team and manufacturing performance.
* Conduct effective shift hand-overs covering safety, technical, and quality issues.
* Participate in pre-shift briefings for communication and feedback.
