Description
We are currently seeking a Depot Supervisor based at our Dewsbury Cement Depot in West Yorkshire.
As our Depot Supervisor, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and safe operation of the Cement depot, which receives and distributes our products, via both rail and road networks to various locations across GB.

Key Responsibilities
• Driving a positive health, safety & wellbeing culture for all our colleagues & visitors to site.
• Compliance with all health, safety, environmental and sustainability legislation, permit requirements and targets.
• Overseeing the operation, receipt and despatch of Cement products for the depot.
• Supervision, development and support for all depot colleagues.
• Supervision of all drivers whilst on site.
• Day to day maintenance of site equipment.
• Supervision of all maintenance contractors.
• Proactive communication of safety observations, near misses, and incidents within the work area to your line manager and health safety and wellbeing department.
• Assist with setting and maintaining the site operational and Capex budgets
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
• Supervisory experience with the ability to demonstrate previous experience of people management.
• Ideally have an engineering background, with a general mechanical / electrical understanding of fixed plant machinery, along with the ability to identify faults and report accordingly.
• You will have a pro-active “hands on” approach and the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level.
• Flexibility to be able to work outside of core working hours as and when required.
• IOSH managing safely / NEBOSH qualification or be willing to work to obtain.
• A valid UK driving license.
This position is ideal for a highly motivated person with experience of depot operations.
