A leading offshore law firm is looking to appoint an Associate with experience in non-contentious trust matters to its well-regarded International Trusts & Private Client (ITPC) practice in Guernsey. Working as part of a high-performing, integrated cross-office team, this role offers excellent exposure to a range of private client work including complex trust structuring, wealth planning, family office support, and private funds. The practice also works closely with corporate and disputes teams on cross-practice mandates, particularly involving trust-related advisory and structuring matters. The incoming Associate will support partners and senior lawyers on the day-to-day running of matters, gaining meaningful client contact and a high level of responsibility from the outset. In addition to client work, there will be opportunities to contribute to business development initiatives and the wider strategic growth of the team. Responsibilities include: Advising on trust law, private wealth structures, and associated regulatory matters Drafting legal opinions, agreements, and advisory memoranda for review Liaising directly with clients, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders Managing workflow and deadlines with minimal supervision Contributing to training, knowledge sharing, and internal development initiatives Supporting the firm’s business development strategy through events and written content Candidate Requirements 2 years' PQE, ideally gained in a strong private client or trust practice Common law qualification (E&W, Australia, NZ, etc.) Experience in non-contentious trust matters, structuring, or wealth planning STEP qualification (or intention to pursue) viewed favourably Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent drafting and communication abilities Collaborative and proactive approach to practice and client service This is an excellent platform for lawyers seeking long-term career development in the offshore sector.
