Business Development Specialist – UK-wide

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 With Excellent Benefits

Keeping our Customers Safe, Warm, Working and Informed is what we strive for at Calor. The Sales team at Calor Gas is looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Business Development Specialist.

The role of the Business Development Specialist is to support the National Partnership Manager in generating new sales leads from brand new markets for the sales teams to convert. This person will communicate with industry experts, manufacturers, specifiers, OEMs, etc., to find and nurture new business and lead opportunities for Calor.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Staying up to date with industry news and knowledge
* Generating leads from OEMs and establishing new partnership schemes
* Reaching out to equipment manufacturers to develop products that run on our sustainable fuels
* Updating Calor staff on our sustainable fuels journey, new partnerships, and industry updates via quarterly meetings
* Exploring and researching potential new markets
* Qualifying high-value leads and larger installations, assisting field sales in signing up
* Educating customers about our Futuria fuels portfolio – Bio LPG / DME, and consulting with our sustainable fuels team on pricing
* Attending trade shows and conventions
* Handover of accounts to regional/national/internal sales after establishing relationships
* Increasing sales leads through ongoing network communication
* Collaborating closely with the sales force to meet lead generation expectations
* Updating product and safety knowledge continually
* Contributing to Calor's safety culture by acting responsibly and safely
* Creating marketing assets to promote Calor and its products to domestic and commercial communities
* Producing management reports as needed
* Assisting in preparing for and attending trade shows and exhibitions

Qualifications and skills we seek:

* Experience with CRM systems or similar tools
* Proficiency in Excel
* Excellent communication skills across various stakeholders
* Ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholders
* Initiative and analytical mindset
