We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Superintendent / Technical Manager to join our client’s onshore operations team. This is a shore-based rotational position providing technical and operational support to a fleet of deepwater drillships.
The Technical Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity, reliability, and performance of assigned offshore drilling assets. Working in close collaboration with offshore leadership, discipline engineers, and shore-based management, this role ensures that maintenance, asset integrity, and operational readiness are achieved in line with company standards, class requirements, and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and technical support to the relevant departments on-board assigned offshore drilling units.
2. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of rig systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure continuous operational readiness.
3. Ensure all activities comply with corporate maintenance management systems, classification society requirements, and regulatory standards.
4. Monitor and analyse technical performance, downtime, and equipment reliability, implementing corrective and preventive measures where required.
5. Coordinate with offshore teams, vendors, OEMs, and contractors to deliver efficient maintenance and project execution.
6. Manage technical budgets, spare parts inventory, and cost control for assigned assets.
7. Participate in rig acceptance, inspections, audits, and dry-dock planning.
8. Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety and integrity culture across all operations.
Requirements:
9. Proven experience as a Technical Superintendent or Technical Manager supporting deepwater drillships.
10. Previous offshore experience as a Technical Section Leader / Chief Engineer on-board MODUs.
11. Strong understanding of marine and drilling systems as well as excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
