This is a full-time, permanent position, starting ASAP, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and supporting practical learning in a school environment. Job Overview As the DT Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Design & Technology department. You will support teachers and students by preparing materials, maintaining equipment and ensuring that workshops are safe, organised and fully operational. Key responsibilities include: • Preparing materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons • Maintaining DT workshops, machinery and tools • Supporting Health & Safety procedures and COSHH requirements • Assisting with stock control, ordering and inventory management • Supporting students during practical activities when required • Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance and checks on equipment • Ensuring a clean, safe and well-organised working environment The School This Watford secondary school is known for its strong behaviour standards, supportive leadership and commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
