About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Media Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching in media and communications, contribute to curriculum development, and support student success through engaging and innovative learning methods.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver lectures and seminars in media, communications, and related subjects
* Develop and update curriculum content in line with industry trends
* Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
* Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research work
* Contribute to academic research, publications, and departmental activities
* Participate in academic meetings, quality assurance, and accreditation processes
Requirements
* Master's degree or PhD in Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
* Prior teaching experience in a university or higher education setting
* Strong knowledge of media theory, digital media, and communication practices
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an advantage
Desirable Skills
* Industry experience in media, journalism, broadcasting, or digital content creation
* Research publications in recognized journals
* Familiarity with tools such as video editing software, content creation platforms, or digital analytics tools
