About Our Client

Job Description
The Criminal Lawyer will:
3. Advise police and investigators on complex and high-risk casework
4. Make charging decisions and prepare cases for Magistrates' and Crown Court
5. Conduct advocacy in serious and sensitive hearings, including Youth Court and multi-day trials
6. Clearly explain legal decisions to police, counsel, victims and the courts
7. Manage your own caseload within a specialist teams
8. Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and share best practice
The Successful Applicant
You will be:
9. A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a valid practising certificate (CILEx candidates with advocacy rights are also eligible)
10. Experienced in criminal law, ideally with Magistrates' and/or Crown Court exposure
11. A confident decision-maker with strong analytical and advocacy skills
12. Motivated by public service and the delivery of justice
13. Comfortable working with external agencies and communicating with diverse audiences
