We’re recruiting for an experienced Office Manager to join a high-end construction and development business in Wallingford with a strong reputation, a real focus on sustainability, and exciting plans for growth.
This is a broad, hands-on role supporting the smooth running of three businesses. You’ll need to be highly organised, proactive, resilient and confident managing multiple priorities. Office and business administration support across 3 businesses
PA support to directors
Diary management and meeting coordination
Accounts prep and chasing unpaid invoices
Procurement support, research, costings and POs
Project admin support to Project Managers
Managing compliance and safety documentation including H&S and ISO ( includes occasional site visits)
Improving processes and driving efficiency
Supporting tenders, proposals and general business operations
Managing documents, filing and project folders
Liaising with external IT support
Answering phones and helping keep everything running smoothly
What we’re looking for:
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Ideally a background in construction, development, property or similar
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Tech savvy with good Excel and Outlook skills
Proactive, practical and improvement-focused
Calm under pressure, accurate and detail-driven
Confident communicator with a positive, can-do approach
Able to adapt quickly in a growing and changing business
Driving licence and own car
The role:
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday ( some flex available on this so if you can offer us 30 hrs per week please and apply and tell us)
Hybrid working available
More office-based initially while learning the role
Flexible start and finish times by agreement
20 days holiday + bank holidays
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in a growing business and be the main point of contact on every aspect of the business. You will be the hub and an essential part of the team
