Overview

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections on vehicles to ensure they meet the required standards set by the DVSA. Responsibilities

* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations.
* Perform thorough inspections of vehicle components including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension.
* Identify any faults or issues that may affect vehicle safety and performance.
* Document inspection results accurately and provide detailed reports on findings.
* Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during inspections and repairs.
* Assist with minor repairs or adjustments as necessary to ensure compliance.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
* Stay updated with changes in legislation and best practices related to vehicle testing.

Qualifications

* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
* Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools is essential.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections or repairs.
* Previous experience as an MOT Tester is essential.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
