Bodyshop Technician opportunity in Tewkesbury
1. Salary: £16-20 per hour pending experience.
2. Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Our client, a long-established and family-run automotive accident repair centre in the Tewkesbury region, is currently looking to hire an experienced Vehicle Panel Beater / Paint Sprayer.Working as part of a team and reporting to the Bodyshop Manager, this role offers you the opportunity to use your technical expertise and attention to detail to produce high-quality results.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
3. Undertake replacement and repair of damaged or compromised bodywork panels.
4. Complete chassis and framework repairs.
5. Accurately assess vehicle damage and apply appropriate methods to produce a high-quality repair.
6. Conduct bumper and door repair works as required.
7. Prepare vehicles for paint, including filler work, sanding, masking, and priming.
8. Carry out vehicle paint spraying and refinishing to a high standard.
9. Mix and apply paints using appropriate paint systems and equipment.
10. Ensure all panel beating, repair, and paint works meet internal and third-party quality standards.
11. Work as part of a team to ensure bodyshop operations run efficiently and safely.
To be eligible for this role, you will ideally be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Body Repair/Paint Refinishing as a minimum. Failing this, you will need to have at least 3/4 years of time-served experience as a Vehicle Panel Beater / Paint Sprayer. You will need to hold a driving licence, be a committed individual, and be a good team player.
