SEND Teacher (KS3) - PRU

Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher who thrives on making a real difference for young people with additional needs? We are working in partnership with a specialist non curriculum PRU in Leasowe to recruit an inspiring teacher for a KS3 provision supporting pupils with complex needs.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to support pupils for whom mainstream education has not been successful and who require a highly personalised, nurturing approach to learning.
About the Role
You will be teaching within a small, supportive KS3 setting designed for pupils with SEMH needs, ADHD, and challenging behaviour. All learners have EHCPs, and for many, this provision represents a crucial final chance to re-engage with education and personal development.
Role Overview:
Key Stage: KS3
Class sizes: Up to 6 pupils (some with 1:1 support)
Whole site: Approximately 16 pupils
Curriculum focus: Personal development, engagement, and non-traditional learning
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Develop strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Support emotional regulation, independence, and social development
Implement effective behaviour strategies using a positive, trauma-informed approach
Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external professionals
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working in a SEND, PRU, or behaviour-focused setting
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A resilient, calm, and empathetic teaching approach
