We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Contracts Manager for a 4-month contract based in the Midlands. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing a range of social housing contracts, managing backlogs of repairs, and driving recovery plans. Your expertise in managing contracts, combined with your knowledge of SOR (Schedule of Rates), will be essential in ensuring smooth operations and the successful delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities: * Manage a backlog of repairs, ensuring they are prioritized and dealt with efficiently. * Oversee the delivery of social housing contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. * Collaborate with and provide guidance to Contract Managers to ensure successful project outcomes. * Develop and implement recovery plans to address service backlogs and improve performance. * Monitor progress and provide regular reports to stakeholders. * Work collaboratively with teams across multiple locations. * Ensure cost control and quality standards are met across all contracts. * Travel between offices as required (own vehicle is essential). What We're Looking For: * Social Housing Experience: A proven background in managing social housing contracts and projects. * Knowledge of SOR (Schedule of Rates): Strong understanding of SOR and its application in contract management. * Experience with Contract Managers: Ability to manage relationships and collaborate effectively with other contract managers. * Backlog and Recovery Plan Experience: Hands-on experience in managing repair backlogs and implementing effective recovery plans. * Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel to various office locations as needed. * Own Vehicle: You must have access to your own vehicle to travel between locations.
