As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a full-time Group Sustainability Specialist to join our central Sustainability team to progress the execution of our nature-related commitments through embedding practices across Croda in alignment with evolving reporting requirements to make an impact and contribute to a meaningful change for Croda and our stakeholders.
You will be responsible for designing, managing and accelerating projects to deliver against our nature-related targets (water, land and biodiversity) and support the operational implementation by developing and rolling our frameworks, processes, tools and guidance with sites, functions and sectors while contributing to external reporting driven by emerging regulatory and voluntary requirements linked to nature and water.

1. A passion for sustainability
2. Degree in Environmental Sciences, Hydrology, Sustainability, Ecology, or related field
3. Proven experience in water stewardship, hydrology, catchment management, or water‑related impact assessment with solid understanding of biodiversity / nature impact mitigation and emerging frameworks
4. Familiarity with corporate water tools ( WWF Water Risk Filter, WRI Aqueduct).
5. Ability to influence stakeholders, with excellent cross-functional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
6. Strong organisational skills and analytical thinking, with a proven ability to convert strategy and technical environmental concepts into operational delivery and guidance, managing multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously
7. Comfortable working with large amount of data and analytical tools and ability to use data for metrics monitoring
8. Collaborative and agile mindset, comfortable to bring together disciplines and specialists for scalable solutions resulting in impact and opportunities
9. Experience working in a manufacturing or chemicals environment is desirable but not essential
10. Experience with regulatory frameworks (CSRD, ESRS, due diligence laws) is desirable but not essential
11. Previous exposure to Scope 3, environmental data governance, nature metrics is desirable but not essential
12. Previous involvement in reporting frameworks is desirable but not essential
What You’ll Be Doing:

13. Develop and track key metrics for reporting, forecasting and road mapping against targets and commitments
14. Support the governance controls and leadership across the nature KPIs, metrics and standards
15. Work across Croda’s teams – including Procurement, Operations, Finance, Businesses and Communications – to accelerate delivery
16. Provide expertise into internal and external developments impacting target delivery and related disclosures, writing and owing appropriate policies, standards and guidance that require development and are then monitored for in use.
