Job Description:
The Financial Planning & Analyst Manager will report to the Head of FP&A.
This is a hybrid role, based in Hammersmith, requiring 3 days in the office per week. The ideal candidate will have exposure to PE-backed companies and strong financial modelling skills.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist in preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, moving towards a rolling forecasting process, involving P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and liquidity covenants.
2. Serve as a point of contact for the investment committee, maintaining policies, setting timelines, and facilitating business case creation for approval.
3. Develop and maintain the group's cost base submissions, analyzing and challenging cost creep to inform decision-making.
4. Produce cash flow forecasts with Treasury to ensure sufficient working capital and pass liquidity covenants.
5. Support the development of the planning tool (Anaplan) to link business strategy with financial performance.
6. Assist in producing weekly and monthly MI reports, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and insightfulness.
7. Analyze the cost base against targets, identifying variable cost drivers, hiring plans, and supplier costs.
8. Collaborate with the Accounting team during month-end close for accuracy.
Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
* Over 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or similar roles.
* Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in financial software, especially Anaplan.
* Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
