Experienced Interim Category Buyer required for growing food business in London working this hybrid role.
My client is looking for an experienced Interim Category Buyer to join the business on a 3-month contract June – August .
2/3 days on site the rest working from home.
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, your primary purpose is to identify, report, and deliver opportunities for savings and cost reduction, while optimising the organisation’s position through effective contracting and negotiation plus general support for the Head of Procurement on day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring cost-effective purchase of materials and services through successful negotiation of contracts
2. Developing Procurement Plans
3. Contract Management
4. Full supply chain cost analysis
5. Delivering project plans
To apply you must have the following: –
6. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with cross-functional teams and promote a collaborative work environment
7. Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions while considering the broader commercial impact and value creation for the organisation
8. Flexible in approach we are looking for someone who is happy to support the Head of Procurement in the day-to-day tasks, as well as project focused work
9. Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and category management within relevant industries
10. Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive informed decision-making
11. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects within specified timelines and budgets
