Overview
Permanent opportunity to join our team of physicians, specialists and allied health professionals as a Consultant in Rheumatology. Post: Consultant in Rheumatology. Salary: £111,430 - £148,064. Hours: Full Time 40 hpw/10 PAs. Location: Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI).
Responsibilities
* Work primarily at the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) and join a team delivering high quality rheumatology services to the people of the region.
* Contribute to the divisional clinical governance and audit programme.
* Teach and supervise nursing and junior medical staff as well as medical students from the Scottish Universities.
* Work within the job plan that includes two programmed activities (PAs) allocated for supporting professional activities (SPA); total of 10-12 PAs with review and potential to include additional SPAs; additional EPA’s may be available through the general medicine on-call rota.

Notes
The appointment will be on a whole-time basis under the terms of the new consultant contract. The job plan includes two PAs for SPA; total of 10-12 PAs, with the possibility of additional SPAs depending on service needs. Additional EPA’s can be available through contribution to the general medicine on-call rota.
