Responsibilities
* Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
* Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
* Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
* Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
* Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence; experience with commercial driving is preferred.
* Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while meeting deadlines.
