Skilled Groundworker | Berwick-upon-Tweed Agency: Search Consultancy Location: Berwick-upon-Tweed Search Consultancy is looking for experienced and reliable Groundworkers to join our busy construction teams on a key project in Berwick. We are partnering with leading contractors who require precision, pace, and a solid work ethic on major infrastructure and residential developments. If you are a versatile all-rounder who thrives in a productivity-driven environment and can deliver high-quality results from the foundations up, we have immediate starts and long-term work available now. The Role This is a hands-on role requiring a broad skillset to keep the site moving. You will be responsible for: * Drainage & Services: Expert installation of shallow and deep drainage, including plastic and concrete pipes and manhole construction. * Foundations & Concreting: Assisting with trench digging, shuttering, reinforcement, and pouring foundations or slabs to exact specifications. * Site Preparation: Navigating site plans to ensure levels are correct and the ground is prepared for the next phase of construction. * External Works: Assisting with kerbing, edging, and initial sub-base preparation for walkways and roads. * Machine Operation: Operating Forward Tipping Dumpers or Rollers as required to support the groundworks gang. Requirements * CSCS Card: A valid Blue (Skilled) or Gold card is mandatory. * CPCS or NPORS Cards * Experience: A proven track record in all aspects of groundworks (Drainage, Concreting, and Foundations). * Skills: Abrasive Wheels certification is highly desirable for cutting and finishing. * Tools & PPE: Full professional kit and standard 5-point PPE. * Reliability: Punctuality is key. You must be able to get to the site in Berwick daily and work well within a gang. * Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
