We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to support a busy finance team within a values-driven organisation that provides services to adults with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and process payroll using Sage Payroll, including starters, leavers, amendments, absences, and statutory payments
* Maintain payroll records and complete HMRC submissions
* Produce payroll reports, process deductions, and handle staff queries
* Support finance operations across purchase, sales, and nominal ledgers
* Post journals, accruals, and prepayments
* Reconcile payroll, bank, and cash accounts
* Process BACS payments and manage daily cashbook entries (Sage Line 50)
* Administer petty cash and credit card transactions
* Assist with audits and year-end processes
Requirements
* Proven payroll experience
* Working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll
* Strong IT skills and attention to detail
* Reliable, confidential, and team-oriented
