Qualifications
* an outstanding and caring teacher of all students, teaching withexpertise and enthusiasm, offering support to all and contributing to theCollege’s House system

Responsibilities
* plan work in accordance with College policy and the subject area’sscheme of work
* use professional judgement and students’ prior levels of attainment toset appropriate and demanding targets for learning
* assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment ofstudents;
* set high standards for appearance, punctuality, motivation and behaviourby:
* adhering to advice given in staff induction, the Staff Handbook and Collegepolicies
* establishing a purposeful and stimulating working atmosphere, includingdisplays and classroom design
* liaise with relevant colleagues on planning work for collaborativedelivery
* liaise with the Inclusion Team to ensure appropriate differentiation inteaching and learning, such that students of all abilities and learning stylesare stretched appropriately
* participate in arrangements made in accordance with the agreed nationalframework for the appraisal of your performance and that of other teachers
* participate in arrangements for your further professional development,including training to meet specific student needs
* supervise and so far as practicable teach any students where the teachertimetabled to take the class is not available, subject to the understandingthat teachers should be required to cover only rarely in circumstances that are notforeseeable
* comply with any reasonable request from a manager/ Headteacher to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description
