About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while upholding the school’s behaviour policies. Responsibilities: • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring students remain focused and productive. • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policies and procedures. • Support students with their learning, answering questions and providing guidance where appropriate. • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment at all times. • Provide clear feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour. • Adapt confidently to different classrooms and respond effectively to varying student needs. Qualifications: • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable. • Strong classroom management skills and confidence leading a group. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to remain calm, organised, and professional under pressure. • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
