Job Summary
As a Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will look after the diverse needs of residents to deliver quality, person‑centred care and support. Your role involves supervising and motivating a team of Care Assistants, working closely with the Deputy General Manager, and supporting the clinical team in areas such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. You will always respect the dignity and preferences of residents while contributing to a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and inspire a team of dedicated Care Assistants.
* Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager to coordinate care activities.
* Support the clinical team in specific areas such as medication, assessments, care plans, or care reviews.
* Ensure resident dignity and preferences are respected at all times.
* Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment for residents.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
* Specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly.
* Warm‑hearted, compassionate, and committed to providing individualised care and support.
* Ability to develop career through ongoing training opportunities.
