About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Coordinator to join our Regional Civils team on our Devonport Dockyard Project in Plymouth. You will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance, supporting one of the most complex and high-profile defence infrastructure programmes in the country.
In this key role, you’ll carry out various Security tasks including support with the management of the security vetting process, helping to ensure compliance with HM Government Security policy and client Security conditions.
What you'll be doing
As a Security Coordinator You Will
* Administer and manage Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearances in accordance with HM Government Policy
* Liaise with the client Security team, external stakeholder and internal departments to ensure the smooth and efficient onboarding and clearance process of staff and sub-contractors
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date vetting records in line with GDPR, company and Security policies
* Support with security audits and supply chain Security assurance to ensure compliance with all legal and contractual Security obligations
* Provide general administrative support to the security function, including document handling, data entry, and reporting
* Act as a point of contact for security queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Who we're looking for
You Will Have The Following
* Proven administrative experience, preferably within a high-security or defence-related environment
* Knowledge of HM Government Security policies including vetting procedures and security clearance processes (e.g. BPSS, SC, DV)
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* High level of integrity and discretion when handling HM Government and confidential information
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Be willing to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
