Supply Chain Manager
Location: Telford (Office-Based)
Salary: Up to £70,000
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday with an early finish every Friday
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a growing organisation based in Telford. This is a key role with full responsibility for end-to-end supply chain operations, including import/export logistics, planning, inventory control, and supplier coordination.
We are seeking a proactive leader with strong commercial awareness and a proven track record in managing international supply chains. Import/export experience is essential for this role.
The Role
As Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee planning, logistics, and inventory management across a fast-paced operation. You'll lead a small team, streamline processes, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery to customers. This role is fully office-based and offers a supportive team environment with a 12pm finish every Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day supply chain activities
Ensure full compliance with import/export and customs regulations
Manage relationships with freight forwarders, suppliers, and subcontractors
Oversee inventory management, stock levels, and reporting
Drive supply chain improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Manage team performance and resource planning
Collaborate with departments such as operations, sales, and finance
Take ownership of departmental budgets and supplier contracts
Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in a Supply Chain Manager or Logistics Manager role
Strong background in import/export operations
Sound understanding of planning, logistics, and stock control
Experience leading and developing a team
Strong commercial and financial awareness
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
