Key Responsibilities
* Operational Leadership: Monitor, coordinate, and develop fluent satellite operations processes and software across satellite operations, data analytics, and business development teams to ensure optimized satellite operations performance in alignment with organizational goals.
* Data Coordination: Oversee daily data collection activities, addressing commercial, calibration/validation, and demonstration requirements transparently. Ensure timelines are met and efficiencies maximized.
* Timeline Management: Manage data collection and delivery schedules and lead collection schedule prioritization, considering internal priorities, constellation capacity and human resources.
* Operations troubleshooting: Monitor constellation capacity and swiftly investigate any anomalies in satellite operations that will impact data delivery. implement timely solutions with satellite software and analytics teams to reduce loss of capacity.
* Business Development Support: Collaborate with sales and business development teams to clarify data/analytics collection parameters and facilitate data acquisition and data delivery. Follow current world events, ensuring relevant data collection addresses market and customer demands.
* Team Supervision: Lead and supervise the satellite operations team, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
* Masters degree or PhD in aerospace engineering, data analytics, or a related field.
* 5+ years of proven experience in satellite operations, logistics or a related industry.
* Strong leadership skills with experience supervising technical teams.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* AI knowledge: Understand and be able to learn AI-powered satellite operations development and management to implement an automated data acquisition strategy.
