What you’ll be doing
* Assist the Senior Site Chemist and the Site Manager in the execution of the day-to-day operations of the site including the supervision of operatives as required
* Sample and analyse all materials destined for on-site treatment, performing compatibility testing and generating written instructions for site personnel
* Perform daily inspections of the transfer area, highlight (and where appropriate remedy) and report potential breaches of permit or safe working conditions
* Cooperate with site management to ensure that site personnel, contractors and visitors comply with the site rules
* Perform sampling and verification of incoming waste chemicals and raise non-conformance reports as required
What we’re looking for
* Minimum of HNC or Degree qualification in Chemistry or a relevant science degree
* An ability to overcome problems and find solutions independently
* Enthusiastic and willing to learn
* Numerate, literate and computer literate
