About the role
1. Provision of timely, practical, and professional occupational H&S advice
2. Develop and further promote a positive H&S culture.
3. Assist in promotion, development, and review of accredited safety management system (ISO ). Including generation of H&S policies, procedures etc.
4. Facilitate the generation and review of risk assessments.
5. Delivery internal H&S training courses.
6. Undertake H&S inspections independently and in conjunction with line management.
7. Assist with the incident investigation process i.e., Receive and investigate reports of adverse events and work with management to determine their causes and make recommendations for to prevent reoccurrence.
8. Maintain the tracking system for recording, reporting, investigating, and actioning; adverse events, risk assessments; inspections and tours.
9. Maintain H&S Intranet site and generate periodic reports and presentations on performance.
10. Deputise for the Head of H&S as necessary.

Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
16. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (essential)
17. NEBOSH Diploma (desirable)
18. IT literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel
19. Knowledge of Power BI (desirable)
Related Experience
20. Ideally Industrial background in an H&S advisory role
Experience in the major H&S topics:
21. Risk assessment e.g., task, machine, and hazardous substances
22. nspection e.g., workplace, fire
23. Audit e.g., systems, process, legislation, compliance
24. Systems management e.g., policy development, implementation, and review.
Skills, Special Competencies
25. Good written skills for example drafting reports and safety procedures.
26. Generate presentations and training materials using Microsoft Powerpoint
27. Use Microsoft Excel to interpret, interrogate data.
28. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence others at all levels within the company.
29. Capacity for analytical thought
30. Project Management skills
