Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join the Children's Services team for Bexley Council.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Chair statutory reviews for Looked After Children, ensuring plans are effective, timely, and focused on achieving positive outcomes.
* Provide independent scrutiny and oversight of care planning to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory guidance.
* Challenge and escalate concerns where delays or poor practice impact on children's outcomes.
* Ensure the child's voice is central to all planning and review processes.
* Monitor the quality and effectiveness of services provided to children in care.
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to promote stability and permanence for children.
* Maintain accurate and timely case records and reports.
Working Pattern:
* Hybrid working
Pay Rate:
* £45.20 p/h Umb
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Significant experience as an Independent Reviewing Officer or within a similar role
* Strong knowledge of LAC processes, care planning, and relevant legislation
* Social Work England Registration
* Ability to provide effective challenge and ensure high standards of practice
