Senior Java Engineer Location: London (1-2 days a week in the office, mandatory on Thursdays) Experience: Minimum 8-10 years Key Responsibilities Software development and maintenance of Cortex Secondary Trader applications Participate in an agile based software development life cycle including analysis, documentation, development, testing, code reviews. Collaborate with the production support team for releases and troubleshooting of the components. Provide third-line support for the Cortex Secondary platform Skills and Experience At least four years software development experience or equivalent. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, inside and outside the team. Solid experience with server-side Java development. Solid experience with web-based applications and restful APIs. Familiarity with relational databases and SQL knowledge. An ability to design performant software and an understanding of application performance profiling. The platform is principally Linux with some Windows, MQ, SQL Server Navigating the technical environments of large organizations.
