An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planner to join a growing and collaborative planning team based in Tunbridge Wells, working alongside experienced town planners and socio-economic specialists.
This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the South East, while playing a key part in the continued growth of a dynamic multidisciplinary consultancy.

The Role
As a Senior Planner, you will play an integral role in delivering planning services across a broad client base. You will be involved in projects from the earliest stages through to delivery, working closely with clients, colleagues and consultants.
Responsibilities will include:
* Advising on the development potential of land and buildings
* Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
* Undertaking planning research and providing policy advice
* Drafting representations for Local Plan consultations and examinations
* Identifying and promoting land opportunities
* Collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver development projects
* Supporting involvement in planning appeals and Local Plan examinations
You will also have the opportunity to build client relationships and begin developing your own project portfolio.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in a planning role within consultancy, local authority or development environment
* MRTPI membership or working towards Chartership
* A strong understanding of the UK planning system
* Excellent written communication skills with a high level of accuracy
* Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
* The ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
* A proactive, enthusiastic and team-oriented approach
