Accounts & Payroll Assistant

£28k - £30k FTE
Keeler Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established Norwich-based business in their search for an Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join their small, close-knit finance team.
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, with a particular focus on bookkeeping and payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing day-to-day bookkeeping duties
* Processing payroll and ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
* Purchase and sales ledger processing
* VAT returns and supporting month-end processes
* Liaising with internal stakeholders and external providers
The Ideal Candidate:
* AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
* Previous experience in a similar accounts and payroll role
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles
* Experience using Xero would be highly advantageous
* Confident working independently within a small team
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
