The opportunity

Our Data Services Group applies cutting-edge technology and techniques to deliver solutions to our clients. You will work closely with clients and diverse teams from EY, providing unique business insights on innovation and competitiveness in this industry. We seek candidates with substantial client-side and people management experience, and proven project and technology delivery within large organizations.
Your key responsibilities
1. Participate in presentations and proposals for medium to highly complex projects.
2. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and models through logical and physical data modelling.
3. Assist in data modelling and design reviews to improve usability and efficiency.
4. Implement code for data extraction and basic transformations.
5. Validate data quality, maintain source control, and versioning.
6. Contribute to data tool development and platform monitoring.
7. Write SQL scripts and stored procedures; optimize and tune SQL queries for performance.
8. Design, implement, and maintain data security and access controls.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
10. Manage projects using Agile methodologies and act as Scrum Master, maintaining roadmaps and team tasks.
To qualify for the role, you must have
1. 5+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modelling, or data engineering.
2. Good scripting skills.
3. Excellent SQL skills, preferably T-SQL.
4. Experience in data wrangling and cleansing across various formats.
5. Familiarity with Microsoft BI tools, including O365 and PowerPlatform.
6. Knowledge of Azure cloud ETL tools such as Azure SQL Server, Data Factory, and Datalake.
7. Understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure and data store connections.
8. Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, or C#.
9. Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Synapse.
10. Good understanding of Data Modelling techniques.
Ideally, you’ll also have
1. A relevant academic background.
2. Participation in the open-source community.
3. Expertise in automation and digital transformation.
4. Certification in MS Azure or AWS Cloud data engineering or similar.
5. Understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and MLOps.
6. Strong skills in an object-oriented language.
7. Excellent presentation skills.
8. Knowledge of project management and agile methodologies.
