At La Storia, we are on the look out for a highly passionate and dedicated chef to join our amazing kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a chef de partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation, while adhering to food safety regulations.
The Job
* Very competitive salary at £30,000 per year
* Tronc system paying around £10,000 per year due to us being a highly successful and established business with a great team

o Cash tips paid monthly
* 28 days holiday
* 5 day week, Wednesday - Sunday
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items such as homemade focaccia, starters and desserts
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
* Follow food safety protocols to ensure the highest hygiene standards are met
* Assist with meal preparation and plating for service
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
* Participate in training new kitchen staff as required
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, preferably within a restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
