Technical Manager
Salary: £40,000 – 65,000 Basic Per Annum 5% bonus

We’re hiring on behalf of a leading Motorola distributor with over 20 years in industry and a multi-million-pound turnover. You'll be part of a team that's transforming how organisations connect and communicate. As a specialist Motorola distributor for RF, IP networking, and two-way radio solutions, supporting some of the UK’s most vital sectors. The Role:
This is a technical management position combining technical leadership, engineering and customer central relationships. You’ll act as the go-to person for all incoming technical enquiries, support escalation, and client/vendor advisory while managing a team of engineers and playing a key part in the company’s growth journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and support engineering teams, managing workload and performance.
* Respond to technical support tickets and inbound client/vendor queries.
* Provide expert advice on RF and IP-based solutions, ensuring customer needs are met with precision.
* Liaise with vendors and clients to scope, troubleshoot, and deliver high-quality solutions.
* Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.
* Work closely with leadership to improve processes, implement best practices, and upskill the team.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in RF or IT systems, preferably within a technical or engineering environment.
* Previous management experience, ideally leading technical teams or engineering functions.
* Solid understanding of IP networking and related technologies.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills – able to explain complex solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.
