Construction Manager
Summary
A successful railway infrastructure contractor specialising in track installation & signalling is looking to hire an experienced Construction Manager / Site Manager in the south of England
Seeking candidates based in the Essex & Surrounding area and willing to travel to sites as required.
Duties include
1. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
2. Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
3. Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
4. Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets
5. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project team members.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
7. Document project progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare regular reports for management.
Requirements:
8. At least 5 years or site / construction management experience on Railway Engineering projects
9. Permanent way project expereince desirable.
10. HND/ HNC minimum in Civil Engineering or relevent subject,
11. Experience working on NEC contracts
12. Excellent communication and people management skills
13. Commercial awareness of cost monitoring and cost value reconciliation
14. SMSTS
15. Railway Safety Training (PTS)
Salary: £55,000 - £63,000 negotiable dependant on level of experience plus package including
- Company Vehicle / Car allowance.
