Role: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Meriden, Coventry
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday- 9am to 5.30pm, Friday- 9am to 5pm
Hourly Rate: £13ph to £14ph (DOE)
Pertemps are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk, to join our Head Office team. This is a fantastic Opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of Purchase Ledger experience who is looking to develop their skills within a well-established and supportive company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
2. Matching, batching and coding invoices
3. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
4. Dealing with supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
5. Assisting with month-end procedures and payment runs.
6. Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc administrative duties
Successful candidates will have:
7. 1–2 years’ experience in a Purchase Ledger or similar finance role
8. Previous experience using finance or accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
9. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, sorting/filtering, data entry)
10. High attention to detail and accuracy
11. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
12. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
