Teaching Assistant - SEND School (Hearing Impairment Support)Location: HalifaxStart Date: After Easter
Academics Educational Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with a hearing impairment in a welcoming SEND school in Halifax.
This rewarding role is ideal for a patient, positive, and caring individual who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 support for a child with a hearing impairment
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
* Support the pupil with academic work and classroom participation
* Encourage confidence, independence, and positive social interaction
* Work closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals to ensure the pupil's needs are met
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be kind, nurturing, and positive in their approach
* Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential)
* Be patient, supportive, and committed to inclusive education
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills
* Be available to start after the Easter break
